The objective of this course is to introduce students to basic notions of electrostatics, electrokinetics and electromagnetism.
Different concepts are covered, ranging from the calculation of electric and magnetic fields and potentials and electrkinetics to the application of the laws of electromagnetism (Gauss, Faraday, Ampère and Maxwell), electric circuits and the charge and discharge of capacitors.

  • Prerequisites

Notions of vector analysis (scalar and vector field, integrals: one-dimensional, two-dimensional and three-dimensional, gradient, divergence, rotational).
