Language planning cannot easily eliminate a language from a society. Even if authorities try to replace it, people often continue using their language in daily life because it is strongly connected to their identity and culture. In some cases, a language may become weaker or less used, but it rarely disappears completely unless the community stops transmitting it to the next generation.
