Communication Practices – Module Overview

(M2 Language and Communication – Online Format)

The Communication Practices module is delivered in an online format and is designed to provide Master 2 students with advanced knowledge and practical skills in analyzing and producing communication across diverse contexts.

This course examines communication as a dynamic social, cultural, and professional practice, with particular attention to digital and mediated environments. Students will explore how meaning is constructed, negotiated, and interpreted in academic, institutional, media, and online settings.

Through virtual discussions, collaborative tasks, case studies, and applied activities, students will develop the ability to:

  • Critically analyze spoken, written, and digital discourse

  • Understand communication strategies in professional and institutional contexts

  • Recognize the role of culture, power, and ideology in communication

  • Apply theoretical frameworks from discourse analysis, pragmatics, and sociolinguistics

  • Produce effective, context-sensitive communication in both traditional and online environments

As an online module, active participation, autonomy, and responsible digital engagement are essential. Students are expected to interact regularly, contribute thoughtfully, and manage their learning independently.

By the end of the course, students will demonstrate critical awareness, strategic communication skills, and adaptability across communicative contexts.
