  • This course introduces students of Economic Sciences to the
    fundamental concepts and techniques of Database Management
    Systems (DBMS). Through theoretical lessons and practical
    applications using Microsoft Access, students will learn how to
    design, organize, and manage databases that support economic
    analysis, business operations, and financial decision-making. By
    the end of the course, students will be able to understand how
    databases are used to store, retrieve, and analyze economic data,
    and how effective database design contributes to improving
    organizational performance and information management

        By the end of this course, students will be able to:
         
        1. Understand the key concepts of databases and their importance in economic and business environments.
         
         
        2. Identify the components and functions of Database Management Systems (DBMS).
         
         
        3. Design and create relational databases using Microsoft Access.
         
         
        4. Build relationships between tables and ensure data consistency.
         
         
        5. Create queries to extract, analyze, and manipulate data for economic insights.
         
         
        6. Design forms and reports for data entry and presentation.
         
         
        7. Apply database management techniques to real-world economic and business problems.
         
         
        8. Demonstrate good practices in database security, maintenance, and documentation.
