Course Objectives

The main goal of the module is:

To enable the student to grasp the introduction to economics and to practice its fundamental topics and the key terms of important economic issues.

Familiarize with economics, its topics, terminology, and its relationship with political economy and various other disciplines.

- التعرف على علم الاقتصاد وموضوعاته ومصطلحات المسائل الاقتصادية، وعلاقته بالاقتصاد السياسي وبمختلف العلوم الأخرى.

Identifying the concept of the economic problem and the methods of addressing it.

- تحديد مفهوم المشكلة الاقتصادية وطرق معالجتها.

Delimit production factors of and the main economic activities

- التعرف على عناصر الإنتاج وعلى أهم الأنشطة الاقتصادية.

Enumerate economic agents and define economic enterprise.

- التعرف على الأعوان الاقتصاديين وعلى المؤسسة الاقتصادية.

Becoming familiar with the market and money.

- التعرف على السوق والنقود.

Enabling the student to understand the problems of inflation and unemployment, as well as the economic policies to address them.

Enabling the student to recognize the main international economic institutions and regional economic blocs.
