    By the end of this lecture, students will be able to:

    1. Define the concepts of drug and medicine and explain the differences between medico-legal and pharmacological definitions within clinical psychology.
    2. Explain the main pharmacological classifications of psychoactive substances (stimulants, depressants, hallucinogens, and deliriants) and describe their effects on the central nervous system.
    3. Apply the biopsychosocial model to substance use disorders by identifying biological, psychological, and social factors in clinical case examples.
    4. Analyze the social and clinical impacts of drug use, particularly the role of family dynamics and environmental factors in the development and maintenance of addiction.
    5. Evaluate major clinical interventions and prevention strategies (e.g., Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction) and propose appropriate approaches for specific clinical situations.
